Environmental Project Manager Jobs in Houston, TX
An Environmental Project Manager in the environmental industry is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects related to environmental conservation and sustainability. Their duties may include conducting environmental assessments, planning and implementing conservation projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. They liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. They are also responsible for risk management and quality assurance in their projects.
To be successful in this role, an Environmental Project Manager must have strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. They should also have a deep understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability issues. A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Certifications such as the Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or the Project Management Professional (PMP) can also be beneficial. Prior to becoming an Environmental Project Manager, a person may have roles such as an Environmental Consultant, Environmental Engineer, or Environmental Analyst.
