Environmental Coordinator Jobs in Pennsylvania

An Environmental Coordinator plays a crucial role in the environmental industry by ensuring the company's compliance with environmental laws and regulations. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental policies and practices. These professionals conduct environmental audits, prepare reports, and present findings to management. They also coordinate with other departments and external agencies to address environmental issues and implement corrective actions. Environmental Coordinators may also be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and ensuring operational activities are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

To become an Environmental Coordinator, one should possess a strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, with excellent analytical and project management skills. It is also essential to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is usually required, and professional certifications such as Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) can be beneficial. Prior roles that can lead to becoming an Environmental Coordinator include Environmental Technician, Environmental Consultant, or Environmental Analyst.
