Our client, a premier manufacturer in the food and beverage industry, is seeking an EHS Coordinator / Safety Coordinator to join their team. As an EHS Coordinator, you will be part of the Environmental Health and Safety department supporting a culture of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: EHS Coordinator / Safety Coordinator
Location: Monroe County, NY
Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
What's the Job?
- Act as the primary authority in all areas of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and plant security for the facility.
- Develop and maintain policies and resources for site security, including conducting investigations when required.
- Execute and support corporate safety directives and assist in determining corrective behavior for potential safety problems.
- Review work practices to ensure safety-related policies and procedures are being followed and enforced.
- Organize required training in all departments to increase safety awareness and adherence.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years EHS management experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Demonstrated technical competencies in safety regulations and best practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-based skills are essential.
