Our client, a global leader in manufacturing/distribution, is seeking an EHS Specialist to join their team. As an EHS Specialist, you will be part of the R&D community supporting various divisions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: EHS Specialist
Location: Maplewood, MN
Pay Range: $25-27/HR + Benefits
Contract Duration: 12- Month
Schedule: 100% Onsite
Job Function:
- Lead EHS risk assessments and escalate to subject matter experts as needed.
- Share information with researchers about the MOC process and assist in its initiation.
- Initiate and complete incident documentation in a timely manner; lead root cause investigations.
- Serve as Hazardous Waste Coordinator, updating waste stream profiles and planning lab clean-out days.
- Track EHS activities and maintain active communication with the EHS team and researchers.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of experience in R&D settings, ideally with a background in chemistry.
- Technical, industrial, or Environmental Health and Safety experience.
- Willingness to learn risk assessment processes and tools.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share information and escalate issues.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
